Thursday Turf-day at Churchill

Our horse racing weekend begins today at Churchill Downs.

A good group of nine horse will make the start in this Turf Allowance.  Harrods Creek (Desormeaux / Mott) appears to have the edge with the highest last out speed number, a four race progression, and two strong workouts.  Kabob (Castanon / Helmbrecht) may challenge with the fourth highest (tie) last out speed number, a three race progression, and one solid workout.  Lejadami (Albarado / Catalano) will be in the hunt with the second highest (tie) last out speed number, a two race progression, and one hearty workout.  Coming off a nice layoff, Slammy Boy (Lanerie / Reinstedler), looks well prepped to make his mark in this race with the third highest (tie) last out speed number, a two race progression, and four fantastic, peaking workouts.  Let's play Churchill Downs on this crisp Thursday.
