Lovely Gulfstream

Happy Winter!
Our horse racing weekend begins at the Winter's premiere track, Gulfstream Park.

Gulfstream Park Race 10 {1 mile~3 year old Up~fillies/mares~Optional Claiming}
A solid group of nine will make the start in this $100K Optional claiming event.  It could be a battle between the speedsters and closers in the race for the wire.

#1A Sweet N Sour Nina (Maragh / Walder) has the advantage with the third highest last out speed number, a two race progression, and two sharp, peaking workouts.  She is a monster on this surface and at this distance.
$2 WIN / $3 SHOW.

#2 Groupie Doll (Borel / Bradley) holds the highest speed number at this distance.  She has had a couple of decent last out speed numbers and has put in two primo peaking workouts.  There is no question she will challenge.
$1 PLACE / $1 SHOW.

#3 Anunciata [PER] (Prado / Matz) could be the big surprise in this race having race very well in her native Peru.  She has already started once in America and could improve greatly in this her second start.  This speedster should motor well on the front end and hold on.
$2 SHOW.

Another Wagering Interest

#5 Gorgeous Melody (Castellano / Woodard) will figure prominently in this race with the second highest last out speed number and a five race progression. She could find herself pressing and get first jump on the group of trackers and closers.

10 CENT Superfecta

#1A Sweet N Sour Nina / #2 Groupie Doll / #5 Gorgeous Melody, #3 Anunciata [PER] / #5, #3.
