A Sunny Santa Anita Thursday

Opening our last horse racing weekend of the year we look to sunny Santa Anita for our horse racing pleasure.

Santa Anita Race 7 {6 1/2 furlongs~downhill TURF~3 year old Up~CA~Optional Claiming}
An equally matched group of ten will make the start in this downhill sprint.  Quite a few speedy types could open the way for a horse that runs close to that pace.  A great handicapping challenge.

#7 Memphis (D. Flores / M. Jones) could be the one to make the most of the pace scenario with the highest last out speed number prior to a layoff.  This guy has put in four fantastic peaking workouts in preparation for this race and is working on a three race progression.
$2 SHOW.

#3 Sammartino (Smith / Spawr) looks ready for a good race with the third highest last out speed number, a four race progression, and three robust workouts.  Another that could take advantage of a speedy pace.
$2 SHOW.

Other Wagering Interests

#8 Starspangled Heat (Nakatani / Abrams) holds the fourth highest last out speed number over a route, has a two race progression, and three stellar workouts.  He will be a factor in the race.

#5 Cranky Jack (Gomez / Stute) should be part of the forwardly placed crew with a couple of decent last out speed numbers, a two race progression, and four excellent workouts.

10 CENT Superfecta

#7 Memphis / #3 Sammartino / #8 Starspangled Heat / #5 Cranky Jack.
