Ahh, TURFday at Belmont

We open our horse racing weekend with on this TURFday with a marvelous, highly competitive Turf race at Belmont.

Belmont Park Race 8 {1 1/16 mile~inner TURF~3 year old Up~fillies/mares~Allowance}
This equally matched field of ten will go to the Turf in what should be an exceptionally exciting race.  A little light on speed, the pace should be honest nonetheless.  Any one of these gals are capable of pulling off the victory.

#10 Antonia Autumn (Dominguez / Clement) should be the favorite with the fourth highest (tie) last out speed number at a longer route and one solid workout.  She shares the highest speed number at the distance.  This daughter of Bernstein should track the pace and swoop down the stretch.
$1 WIN / $1 SHOW.

#6 Island School (Lezcano / McGaughey) will challenge with the third highest last out speed number and two robust workouts.  She loves the Belmont course and should track the pace nicely.
$1 PLACE / $1 SHOW.

#1 Star Torina (Ortiz / Mott) will also challenge with the highest last out speed number, a five race progression, and two strong workouts.  She should press the pace and have first strike capability.  It would not be a surprise if she cruises to the win.
$1 SHOW.

Another Wagering Interest

#9 Seanchai (Castellano / Pletcher) could surprise, sharing the highest speed number at the distance.  Her last out speed number was fair, but then had an approximately 60 day freshening with three fine workouts.  This gal should be forwardly placed and could walk off with the victory.

10 CENT Superfecta

#10 Antonia Autumn, #6 Island School / #10, #6 / #1 Star Torina, #9 Seanchai / #1, #9.

Last Superfecta Sunday (10/14) Results
