Friday Turf at Belmont

Belmont beckons as we head into Friday.

Belmont Park Race 2 {1 mile~TURF~3 year old Up~NY~Maiden Special Weight}
A very peculiar field of nine will saunter onto the green.  This one is a tough one to call as any one of these in here could have a good day.  Not much speed, if any at all, opens it up to the one that aggressively seeks the lead.  Another horse players delight for this horse racing weekend.

#6 Captain Gaughen (Lezcano / Ryerson) looks well prepped after a long layoff.  He holds the second highest speed number at the distance and has put in three strong workouts.  The only one that has landed in the money twice.
$1 SHOW.

#7 Seljuk (J. Ortiz / Antonucci) appears ready to show improvement with the second highest last out speed number, a three race progression, and the highest speed number over the Belmont Turf.  He has shown speed in an early race in his seven race career and should he go to the front, this guy could steal this race.
$1 SHOW.

#4 Take It Easy Baba (Tomas / Bush) will be making his second career start with an o.k. last out speed number at a longer Turf route.  He has put in two superb workouts gearing for this race.  This guy could be the big surprise.
$1 SHOW.

Other Wagering Interests

#1 Shortcoming (Chamafi / Badgett) should be able to take a nice step forward with the fourth highest last out speed number, a four race progression, and two modest workouts.  He has covered this distance earning him the fourth highest speed number at it.

#8 National Buck (C. Velasquez / Weaver) is a first time starter that have an immediate impact in the race.  His three workouts in the last thirty days are among the best of the group.  With a field like this he cannot be discounted.

10 CENT Superfecta
