Superfecta Sunday on the TURF

Football season is here.  There is no better way to get in the game than to handicap a good TURF race.  On this Superfecta Sunday we take a look at such a race at Belmont Park.

Belmont Park Race 8 {1 1/16 mile~inner TURF~3 year old Up~Allowance}
A field of nine equally matched Turfers take to the grass in this allowance feature.  A fascinating race shapes up as there is minimal to no speed.  A couple of forwardly placed types may take the lead by default.  A significant challenge awaits as any in this field can come away with the victory.  Let's give it a try as we put together our 10 CENT Superfecta box.

#2 Red Vine (Bravo / Clement) has a slight edge with the third highest (tie) last out speed number, a two race progression, and one efficient workout.  He also holds the highest speed number over the Belmont course.  He should track the pace closely and strike in the stretch.  He is our Bronze Horseshoe runner.
$3.00 SHOW.

#7 Calm Pacific (J. Castellano / C. Brown) will challenge in his second career start.  He has posted the fourth highest last out speed number of the group and has put in three robust workouts.  This guy is another that should track the pace closely unless his connections decide to send him.

#4 Lead Singer (Alvarado / Kimmel) is coming off a longer route in which he posted a decent speed figure and has put in two bullet workouts.  He should be forwardly placed and may cruise to victory or at least a good finish.

#6 Valid (Saez / McLaughlin) should be in the mix with the second highest last out speed number, a two race progression, and two superb workouts.  He is another that should be tracking the pace closely ready to swoop into the stretch.

10 CENT Superfecta Box ($2.40)

#2 Red Vine  +  #7 Calm Pacific  +  #4 Lead Singer  +  #6 Valid.
