Stakes Saturday Turf in Florida

Today we take in a nice Turf contest amongst the youngsters.

Gulfstream Park Race 9 {Dania Beach~G3~1 mile~TURF~2 year old~Stakes}
A great group of nine young Turfers meet on the grass for a feature graded stakes race.  There is plenty of speed and forwardly placed types to keep it rolling.  All look well prepped and ready to rumble. It should be a fantastic race.

#8 Here's Johnny (Desormeaux / Ward) might have a slight edge with the third highest last out speed number and three stout workouts.  He also holds the second highest speed number at the distance.  This son of Colonel John should share front running duties and if he is able to tamp down the pace a bit, could score the victory.
$1 WIN / $2 PLACE / $3 SHOW.

#6 Bon Accord (Rosario / Sano) will challenge with the second highest last out speed rating, a four race progression, and four superb workouts. he has traveled well over the surface and at the distance.  This son of Showing Up should be tracking the pace and closing swiftly.
$1 PLACE / $2 SHOW.

#2 Pleuven [FR] (A. Garcia / C. Brown) should contend in his first North American start coming over after racing in France.  He holds an excellent Racing Post rating which could be considered among the best of this group.  Prior to an approximate 150 day layoff he was working a four race progression.  In prepping for this race, this son of Turtle Bowl [IRE], has put in four hearty workouts.  He could pull off a win with a nice pressing / tracking run.
$1 SHOW.

Another Wagering Interest

#3 Request (Castellano / C. Brown) is another that should contend, particularly if the pace turns wicked.  This will be the second start for the son of Dynaformer.  His first race was victorious at the distance and over the surface.  He is a closer that should benefit from a fast pace.

10 CENT Superfecta

#8 Here's Johnny  /  #6 Bon Accord  /  #2 Pleuven [FR]  /  #3 Request.
