A Saratoga Sprint for Stakes Saturday

Taking a look up at the "Spa" on this Stakes Saturday. Feeling a bit sprinty.

Saratoga Race 9 {Alfred G. Vanderbilt Handicap~G1~6 furlongs~3 year-old Up~Graded Stakes}

A magnificent field of eight will go to the gate in this annual contest. There is a plethora of speed which should make for a fantastic sprint to the finish. Speed numbers are very close as all but one have hit the triple digit threshold. It should be an exciting speedfest.

#5 Holy Boss (J. Velazquez / Asmussen) might be able to pull this one off with the third highest last out speed number, a five race progression, and four superb peaking workouts. This lad loves the Saratoga track having hit the board twice in two career efforts. A son of Street Boss, he should be forwardly placed near the pace setter.
$1 WIN  /  $2 PLACE  /  $3 SHOW.

#4 A. P. Indian (Bravo / Delacour) should challenge with the second highest last out speed number at a longer sprint, a two race progression, and two sensational bullet workouts. This guy comes into it with two wins in a row. A son of Indian Charlie, he is another that should be forwardly placed.
$1 PLACE  /  $2 SHOW.

#6 Chubilicious (Gallardo / Navarro) will contend with the highest (tie) last out speed number and two credible bullet workouts. He might benefit from a frothy pace as he should be near the pace positioned nicely. This gelded son of Hey Chub is a terrific 100% in the money from ten starts at this distance.
$1 SHOW.

Another Wagering Interest

#1 Anchor Down (J. Ortiz / Pletcher) should be in the thick of things with a couple of very good last out speed numbers and two workmanlike works. He should be forwardly placed ready to romp. A son of Tapit, he is another that is 100% in the money at this distance from two tries.
