Friday at Fair Grounds

Best of Luck to all of the Horse Players competing in the National Handicapping Championship this weekend in Las Vegas.

On this Friday we take a peek at a nice mile race down in New Orleans.

Fair Grounds Race 7 {1 mile~3 year-old~Allowance Optional Claiming}

A great crop of seven three year-olds will enter the gate in this dirt mile race. There is enough speed to carry the pace. Speed numbers are fairly close giving it some competitiveness. It should be a grand start for our horse racing weekend.

#8 Bobby the Brain (Murrill / Stidham) might have the edge with the third highest last out speed number at a longer route and two superb workouts. This lad should be part of the crew on the front end. He relishes the surface and the Fair Grounds track. With a hat tip to the NHC we'll make our play accordingly.
$2 WIN  /  $2 PLACE.

#3 Society Beau (Albarado / Howard) should challenge with the second highest last out speed number at a longer route and three fine peaking workouts. He is another that enjoys the surface and the Fair Grounds track. The most experienced colt in the contest, he is 85% in the money from seven starts.
$1 SHOW.

#4 It's Your Nickel (Graham / McPeek) should contend with the fourth highest last out speed number at a longer route, a two race progression, and two hearty workouts. He will be making his third career start after racing up at Saratoga and Belmont for his first two starts. This guy should be tracking the pace ready to strike.
$1 SHOW.

Another Wagering Interest

#2 Resiliency (Geroux / Asmussen) should be in the thick of it with a couple of decent last out speed numbers and four sensational peaking workouts. This lad is coming out of race where he faced tougher. He should travel close to the pace ready to spring forward into the stretch.

10 CENT Superfecta

#8 Bobby the Brain  /  #3 Society Beau  /  #4 It's Your Nickel  /  #2 Resiliency.
