Superfecta Sunday at Santa Anita

Staying on at Santa Anita for our Superfecta Sunday we take in a Grade 2 Sprint.

Santa Anita Park Race 8 {Santa Ynez~G2~7 Furlongs~3 year-old Up~Fillies~Graded Stakes}

A premium field of nine will hit the dirt in this annual event. Plenty of speed to keep the pace rolling. Speed numbers are very, very close which should make it any one of these fillies race. Our task is to string together a winning 10 CENT Superfecta ticket.
A great race should unfold.

#8 Midnight Bisou (Smith / Spawr) might have the edge with the second highest last out speed number, a two race progression, and five tremendous peaking workouts. Though only a maiden, she has hit the board in both of her races and relishes the distance. A daughter of Midnight Lute, she should track the pace capably.

#7 Win the War (Gaffalione / Casse) comes in from Canada to battle these California girls. She holds the highest overall speed number that recorded a win at this distance, albeit over the Tapeta surface up at Woodbine. She has put in three strong workouts prepping for this race. A daughter of War Front, she should also track the pace carefully.

#9 Just a Smidge (Van Dyke / Baffert) looks ready to take another step forward coming out of a route race. She has put in four stellar, peaking workouts ready to race. This gal show the highest speed number over the dirt surface. A daughter of Into Mischief, she should be closer to the pace and launch into the stretch. She is our Bronze Horseshoe selection.
$2 SHOW.

#5 War Heroine (Prat / Miller) could come away with the lead and attempt to wire this field. She holds the third highest last out speed number in her only race and has put in three robust peaking workouts. A daughter of Lonhro [AUS], she will be stretching out 110 yards for her second career start.
