Stakes Saturday on Kentucky Turf

On this Stakes Saturday we take in the view at that great little unique TURF course in Kentucky, Kentucky Downs.

Kentucky Downs Race 10 {Kentucky Turf Cup~G3~1 1/2 mile~TURF~3 year-old Up~Graded Stakes}

A great field of twelve will hit the Kentucky green in this annual event. There is just enough speed to make it an interesting pace, though you can expect a quickening turning for home. Speed numbers are super close which gives any of these in here to visit the winners circle. A couple of millionaires join the fray. It should be a very exciting race.

#6 Oscar Nominated (J. Ortiz / Maker) might just have the edge with the highest (tie) last out speed number and four exceptional peaking workouts. This lad has never finished off the board in five starts at this distance. Expect him to chart close to the pace. A millionaire son of Kitten's Joy, he loves this course having won both times he has raced over it.
$2 WIN  /  $3 PLACE  / $5 SHOW.

#9 Soglio (L. Saez / Maker) should challenge with the third highest (tie) last out speed number and four high quality workouts. He leads this field with an impressive 70% in the money record from twenty career starts. A son of Scat Daddy, he will be part of the tracking crew seeking to hit the wire.
$2 PLACE  /  $3 SHOW.

#4 Bigger Picture (Gaffalione / Maker) should contend with the second highest (tie) last out speed number and two superb workouts. This guy is the other millionaire in the race seeking to pad his bank account. A son of Badge of Silver, he should close magnificently. He has the most victories in this field and will be seeking his twelfth.
$2 SHOW.

#8 Arklow (Geroux / B. Cox) should be in the hunt sharing the third highest last out speed number and putting in three hearty workouts prepping for this race. This guy should have plenty of run coming into the stretch. A son of Arch, he does enjoy the Turf.
