A Grade One Stakes Saturday

Upstate New York is where the action is on this Stakes Saturday as we turn out attention to a fantastic grade one at the Spa.

Saratoga Race11 {Woodward~1 1/8 mile~3 year-old Up~Graded Stakes}

An awesome field of fourteen will go to the gate in this annual grade one stakes race.
It comes up a little bet light on speed though the speed numbers are fairly close. There are five millionaires bidding to bank more cash.  Quality through and through as these lads battle for position and the wire. It should be the most exciting race of the day.

#10 Seeking the Soul (Castellano / D. Stewart) might have the advantage with the third highest last out speed number, a two race progression, and four powerful workouts.This guy appears ready to track the leaders down for the score. This millionaire son of Perfect Soul [IRE], is 73% in the money from nineteen starts.
$1 WIN  /  $2 PLACE  /  $3 SHOW.

#9 Gunnevera (Zayas / Sano) looks primed and ready for another good performance. he holds a couple of good last out speed numbers and three superb workouts. Of this group he holds the second highest speed number over a track he loves, Saratoga. A millionaire son of Dialed In he will be closing swiftly with a solid pace up front.
$1 PLACE  /  $2 SHOW.

#1 Yoshida [JPN] (Rosario / Mott) will be making his first start on the dirt. A brilliant Turfer, he holds the fourth highest (tie) last out speed number and two sound workouts. He has an outstanding chance with a ground saving inside trip. A son of Hearts Cry [JPN], he is 70% in the money from ten career starts.

Other Wagering Interests

#5 Hence (Santana / Asmussen) should challenge with a couple of very good last out speed numbers, a six race progression, and two hearty peaking workouts. As he continues to improve, look for him to close well with the right pace. A son of Street Boss, he comes off a nice prep win down in Albuquerque, NM.

#14 Rally Cry (M. Smith / Pletcher) is a Saratoga lover with the highest speed number over the course and distance. He comes into this race after a brief freshening and should be ready to battle from the outside post. Four strong workouts indicate he is ready to run. A son of Uncle Mo, he should be part of the pace scenario.
