A Sprinty Superfecta Sunday

On this Superfecta Sunday we take in a nice stakes sprint in Southern California.

Del Mar Race 8 {Desi Arnaz Stakes~6 1/2 Furlongs~2 year-old~Fillies~Stakes}

A small field of six will saunter to the gate in this annual affair. There is plenty of speed to produce a hot pace. Speed numbers are fairly close for these youngsters. They have all been working diligently to establish a good base for their coming three year-old season. Our task is to weave together a winning 10 CENT Superfecta box ticket.

#6 Stellar Sound (Van Dyke / Baffert) looks to be in tip-top form coming out of a slightly longer sprint with the second highest speed number. She has put in four superb peaking workouts in a brief layoff. A daughter of Tapit, she should be tracking the pace-setters. Fresh and ready, she is our Bronze Horseshoe selection. She should kick it home brilliantly given the sizzling pace that should unfold.
$2 SHOW.

#5 Orquidias Biz (M. Smith / Mullins) should be coming into it with her maiden win last out over a Turf surface. This gal has produced two hearty workouts during the last thirty days. A daughter of Fed Biz, she has already run well over the Del Mar track. Another tracker that should benefit from a speedy pace.

#3 Roadrunners Honor (Bejarano / O'Neill) will be making her second career start after winning her maiden last out. She produced the third highest last out speed number and has put in two quality workouts. A daughter of Honor Code, she should be forwardly placed ready for battle on the front end.

#4 Leucothoa (Cedillo / P. Miller) should be the favorite with an outstanding speed figure last out and two strong workouts. This gal should be part of the speed contingent on the front end, dueling for position. A daughter of Midshipman, she is one of two that have already won twice.
