Let's Sprint on Superfecta Sunday

On this Superfecta Sunday we take in a nice little sprint race down in Southern California.

Del Mar Thoroughbred Club Race 5 {6 Furlongs~3 year-old~Fillies~Claiming}

An interesting group of seven gals will go to the gate in this mid-level claiming event. There is enough speed to keep the pace honest. Speed numbers seem to be very close. Our task is to wire together a winning 10 CENT Superfecta box ticket. It should be a good race.

#2 Super Klaus (A. Espinoza / V. Garcia) might have a slight edge with a strong pace up front. She holds the third highest last out speed number at a route and two solid workouts. A daughter of Flashback, she is 62% in the money from eight career starts. She is our Bronze Horseshoe selection.
$2 SHOW.

#6 Nomizar (T. Baze / Hanson) should challenge with the fourth highest (tie) last out speed number and three strong workouts. This gal enjoys the surface and distance notching a win over the Del Mar dirt. A daughter of Tapizar, she is 66% in the money at the distance from three starts. Should be forwardly placed.

#7 Portal Creek (Valdivia / Sadler) will contend as a possible favorite with the third highest last out speed number and four superb peaking workouts. This gal is another with strong efforts at the distance hitting the board 60% of the time. A daughter of Shanghai Bobby, she will be near the front end.

#1 Time for Suzzie (Diaz / Cerin) should be in the mix with the highest last out speed number and three sound workouts. She also has an affinity for the distance with a 72% in the money record from seven starts at six furlongs. A daughter of Time to get Even, she should be tracking ready to strike in the stretch.
