Big "A" Stakes Saturday

On this Stakes Saturday we go long on the New York Turf at the "Big "A".

Aqueduct Race 9 {Red Smith Stakes~G3~1 3/8 mile~TURF~3 year-old Up~Graded Stakes}

A splendid field of eleven will hit the New York Turf in this annual feature. There is enough speed to maintain a sound pace for this "marathon" distance. Speed numbers are fairly close with a number of standouts and those still improving. Only one millionaire goes to the gate, the favorite, Sadler's Joy.  It should be a fantastically exciting race.

#7 Sadler's Joy (Castellano / Albertrani) is the favorite with the highest last out speed number, the highest speed number at the distance, and the highest (tie) speed number over the Aqueduct TURF. He has put in four solid workouts in preparation. This millionaire son of Kitten's Joy, is 66% in the money at the distance from nine starts. He should track and close speedily.
$1 WIN.

#4 Marzo (I. Ortiz / Maker) looks to challenge with the fourth highest last out speed number and two hearty workouts. This lad continues to show improvement increasing his speed numbers in each of his last three races. A son of Medaglia d'Oro, he is 87% in the money over the Turf from eight starts. He should track the pace closely and strike in the stretch.
$1 PLACE  /  $2 SHOW.

#1 Tiz a Slam (Bahen / Attfield) comes down from Canada to contend with this talented group. He holds the second highest last out speed number and four powerful workouts. This guy should be forwardly placed battling for position. A son of Tiznow, he has already hit the board in his only effort at this distance.
$1 SHOW.

#2 Petit Fils [FR] (Rosario / Clement) could surprise, making his North American debut at a much shorter distance than his last. Having raced in France, he is 76% in the money from thirteen career starts. A son of Makifi [GB] he should be tracking ready to roll over the good ground.

$1 Saturday Exacta Wheel ($3.00)

#7 Sadler's Joy  /  #4 Marzo,  #1 Tiz a Slam,  #2 Petit Fils [FR].
