Superfecta Sunday down New Mexico way

 Off we go, virtually, of course, down to New Mexico for a nice stakes race on this Superfecta Sunday.

Albuquerque Downs Race 9 {O.D. McDonald Stakes~7 Furlongs~3 year-old Up~NM~Stakes}

A flush field of eleven will go to the gate in this annual event. Should be an exciting stakes sprint.

Past Performances Used:  Time Form US

This field consists entirely of geldings. There is ample speed to make this pace sizzle. All, but one have raced over the Albuquerque track. Speed figures are fairly close which should make this one truly competitive. Our task is to rope together a winning 10 CENT Superfecta ticket. A nice race to wager and watch.

#2 Gunners One (Negron / Evans) was the victor in this race last year when it was held in June. This guy is making his second start of the year while holding the fourth highest speed number at this distance. Watch for him to be forwardly placed. He has put in one sound workout. A son of Diabolical, he is 70% in the money from seventeen career starts. He is our Bronze Horseshoe selection.

$2 SHOW.

#4 Thunder Dome (Laviolette / Barton) is coming off an extended layoff ready to get down to business. He holds the second highest last out speed number and three solid workouts. This gelding holds the highest speed number at the distance. Look for him to track the pace. A son of Dome, he is 77% in the money from thirty-six career starts.

#9 Shining Source (E. Gomez / Rust) is another coming off an extended layoff with three superb workouts. He holds the third highest speed number at the distance while being a specialist at same. This guy is another tracking ready to kick it in. A son of Source, he is 56% in the money from fifty three starts. Also, most wins, at thirteen, of the field.

#7 Fonger (Arboleda / M. Hernandez) comes into to this race with three good last out speed numbers and two hearty workouts. He does have the second highest speed number at the distance. He will be part of the pace scenario seeking to hang on. A son of Atilla's Storm, he is 58% in the money from thirty-nine starts.
