A Synthetic Stakes Saturday

 We go to the great State of Kentucky for some evening Stakes action over the Tapeta surface at Turfway Park.

A solid group of ten will go to the gate in this annual contest.

There is plenty of speed to keep this pace rolling. Speed numbers are extremely close. Only two have yet to race over the Turfway Tapeta. Both will be switching from Turf to synthetic. All have raced at this distance. It should be a great race under the lights.

#8 Kitodan (Achard / Foster) is dropping in distance with the third highest (3-way tie) last out speed number. He loves the surface, distance, and track. Look for him to close into a speedy pace. A son of Point of Entry, he is 50% in the money from twenty starts.

#2 Ocean Atlantique (Machado / Maker) will challenge with the second highest last out speed number and four powerful workouts. He has the tactical speed to stay the course no matter what pace develops. A son of American Pharoah, he is 46% in the money from twenty-eight starts.

#9 Cellist (M. Garcia / Arnold) is another dropping in distance combined with three strong workouts. He shares the third highest last out speed number. This guy is another with tactical speed. A son of Big Blue Kitten, he is 61% in the money from eighteen starts.

#3 Temple (Concepcion / Maker) will go from Turf to Tapeta. He drops in distance with four serious workouts. This guy loves the distance. A son of Temple City, he is 58% in the money from forty-one starts.
