Furlong Friday at Fair Grounds ep. 4

 On the last Friday of the year we take in a nice sprint for the Louisiana lads.

Fair Grounds Race 8 {6 Furlongs~3 year-old Up~Louisiana bred~Maiden Claiming}

An interesting group of ten will go off in the Lucky Last on the Fairgrounds card.

There are enough forwardly placed types to warrant a fast pace. All of these LA lads are geldings except one. Speed numbers are fairly close with only one hitting the race rate within the last three runs. These are all experienced runners still seeking their maiden win. It should be a thrilling race.

#7 Calibrachoamatters (Loveberry / Rivelli) is the overwhelming favorite having hit the "race rate" in two of his last three races. He could wire lead this field through honest fractions. Is dropping in class with two solid workouts. This lad will be making his fourth career start. A son of Calibrachoa, has yet to hit the board.

#5 Vero Campione {Murray / Duke) will challenge with the highest last out speed number at a route. He should be forwardly placed ready to romp. This guy enjoys the distance and the Fair Grounds track. A son of Awesome Again, is 38% in the money from thirteen starts.

#10 Samurai's Grandson (Green / Govea) is another that will be competing near the front. He holds the fourth highest last out speed number. He is the only colt in the field and should take another step forward. A son of Star Guitar, he is 40% in the money from five starts.

#3 Flash N Class (Nieves / Foster) should contend with the highest last out speed number and three hearty peaking workouts. He should track the pace and strike in the stretch. A son of Goldencents, he will attempt to break his maiden in his seventh start.

#4 Spirit of Dreams (Marquez / Terre) has struggled in his last two, but drops in distance with two decent peaking workouts. A son of Mor Spirit, he will be seeking his maiden breaker in his fifth start.

#9 Inglis (McMahon / Patt) comes in from Delta Downs with three decent last out speed numbers. He should race close to the pace. A son of American Freedom, he is 11% in the money from nine starts.
