Oklahoma Derby Day

 On this Superfecta Sunday we take on another race on the Nation's Derby Docket.

Remington Park Race 10 {Oklahoma DErby~G3~1 1/8 mile~3 year-old~Graded Stakes}

A modest field of eight will go to the gate in this annual event.

Good speed will make the pace an honest one. Speed figs are very close. Only two have raced over the Remington Park track. Five will be stretching out to this distance for the first time. All seem to have been well prepped for the grade three. It should be a fantastic race on a great Oklahoma Derby day card.

#8 Society Man (Lanerie / Gargan) is the most experienced at this distance having hit the board in three of his four starts. Look for him to be among the tracker crew. Four strong workouts add greatly to his preparation. A son of Good Magic, he is 62% in the money from eight starts.

Stakes Saturday under the California Sun

 We look in on Santa Anita and a fabulous California Crown card. Our focus will be on a fabulous graded downhill Turf sprint with a robust field.

Santa Anita Park Race 8 {Eddie D. Stakes~G2~6 1/2 furlongs~TURF~3 year-old Up~Graded Stakes}

A talented field of eleven will head up hill for the start of this annual contest.

There is plentiful speed in this race to produce a sizzling pace. All are proficient over the Turf. Four will be making their first start on the unique downhill course. One millionaire joins the field. Speed figs are fairly close with a plethora of triple digit speed numbers posted. It should be one of the best races on the California Crown card.

Superfecta Sunday in Maryland

 We look in on a nice Stakes race in Maryland with the fillies sprinting on the dirt.

Laurel Park Race 8 {Weather Vane Stakes~3 year-old~Fillies~Stakes}

A reduced field of eleven will hit the dirt in this Superfecta Sunday affair.

This race will be speed ladened producing a frothy pace. Speed numbers are fairly close making it quite competitive as well. Nearly half the field has raced over the Laurel track. All but one have raced at the distance. It should be a great race on this Superfecta Sunday.

 On this Stakes Saturday we turn to the Keystone State for a superb Pennsylvania Derby.

A grand field of eleven will go to the gate in this annual contest.

There is plenty of speed in this one to formulate a sizzling pace. Speed figs are fairly close with only one horse hitting a triple digit Beyer. One millionaire makes an appearance along with a couple near the cusp of that milestone. Only three have raced over the Parx oval. All are experienced at the distance. It should be one of the best races on a card stocked full of good races.

#8 Unmatched Wisdom (Prat / C. Brown) holds the highest speed number at the distance and has two stout workouts. He should be forwardly placed near the pace ready to spring into the stretch. Stakes Saturday under the Twin Spires

 On a spectacular Stakes Saturday with quality races across North America, we look in on a special race down in Kentucky.

Churchill Downs Race 10 {Iroquois Stakes~G3~1 mile~2 year-olds~Graded Stakes}

A slightly reduced field of eleven will go to the gate in this annual race with Kentucky Derby 2025 points on the line.

Significant speed should produce a sizzling pace in this race. Speed numbers are very close as all these youngsters progress in their racing career. Only two have gone this distance while the rest will stretch out. Interestingly, four of Not This Time's prodigies will load into the gate. Six runners in the field have raced over the Churchill track. It should be a fabulous race to get a first look at some of crop that will try to get their footing on the Kentucky Derby trail.

#8 Magnitude (Gaffalione / Asmussen) looks for the win in his second start over the Churchill oval. He comes in with the fourth highest (tie) last out speed number and four superb peaking workouts.  Staying on at Kentucky Downs we take look at a fine Stakes race for the three year-olds.

A great group of eleven will hit the challenging KY Downs course in this feature race.

 On this Stakes Saturday we look in on a fantastic Turf battle at that unique track, Kentucky Downs.

Holiday Racing Monday up in Canada

 Happy Labor Day or do you say Labour Day as in Canada. On this Holiday Monday we take in an exciting Turf stakes up in Ontario.

Fort Erie {Puss N Boots Cup Stakes~1 1/16 mile~TURF~3 year-old Up~Stakes}

A modest field of nine will hit the green in this annual contest.

Past Performances used:  Equibase.

There is plenty of speed on the inside to keep this group rolling. Speed numbers are fairly close making it a competitive race. All but one have raced over the Fort Erie Turf. Most have acquitted themselves well over the Fort Erie course. It should be a fine course on a day with a good deal of action across the North American continent.

#9 Four Aces High (Pinto / Simms) is the deserved favorite with the second highest (tie) last out speed number at this very distance. He should track the pace closely. Winning at this distance last time out should enable him to improve on that effort. A son of Old Forester, he is 45% in the money from forty-two starts.
