Holiday Racing Monday up in Canada

 Happy Labor Day or do you say Labour Day as in Canada. On this Holiday Monday we take in an exciting Turf stakes up in Ontario.

Fort Erie {Puss N Boots Cup Stakes~1 1/16 mile~TURF~3 year-old Up~Stakes}

A modest field of nine will hit the green in this annual contest.

Past Performances used:  Equibase.

There is plenty of speed on the inside to keep this group rolling. Speed numbers are fairly close making it a competitive race. All but one have raced over the Fort Erie Turf. Most have acquitted themselves well over the Fort Erie course. It should be a fine course on a day with a good deal of action across the North American continent.

#9 Four Aces High (Pinto / Simms) is the deserved favorite with the second highest (tie) last out speed number at this very distance. He should track the pace closely. Winning at this distance last time out should enable him to improve on that effort. A son of Old Forester, he is 45% in the money from forty-two starts.

$2 WIN  /  $3 PLACE  /  $5 SHOW.

#4 Wilberforce (Moreno / Ceccato) will challenge with the highest last out speed number and one stout workout. He loves the Turf, distance, and course. This guy has the tactical speed to adapt to the pace and strike in the stretch. A son of prodigious Turf sire, Kitten's Joy, he is 61% in the money from thirteen starts.

$2 PLACE  /  $3 SHOW.

#3 Quarky (Crawford / Mathes) will contend with an affinity for the Turf, distance, and Fort Erie course. He is another with tactical speed that should put that quality to good use. A son of The Factor, he is 53% in the money from fifty-two starts.

$2 SHOW.

#6 Jack the Cat (Mailhot / Warner) is yet another that excels on the Turf, at the distance, and over the Fort Erie course. He should track the pace and quicken in the stretch. This guy comes in with the fourth highest last out speed number. A son of Courageous Cat, he is 53% in the money from forty-three starts.

Other Wagering Interests

#2 Kiddie Holiday (Johnson / Ceccato) should be in the mix sharing the second highest last out speed number and one exceptional bullet workout. He has posted solid performances over the Turf, at the distance, and on the Fort Erie course. A son of Ami's Holiday, he is 56% in the money from thirty starts.

#5 Glitter Bay (B. Boulanger / Capi) should be in the mix after hitting the board in his last three. He loves the Fort Erie Turf with a 100% itm record over it. Look for him to be in the tracker pack. A son of Tamarkuz, he is 44% in the money from thirty-six starts.

20 CENT Superfecta Box ($4.80)

#9 Four Aces High  +  #4 Wilberforce  +  #3 Quarky  +  #6 Jack the Cat.

20 CENT Superfecta Straight ($4.80)

#9 Four Aces High  /  #4 Wilberforce  /  #3 Quarky,  #6 Jack the Cat,  #2 Kiddie Holiday,  #5 Glitter Bay  /  ALL.
