Stakes Saturday at Magnificent Kentucky Downs

 On this Stakes Saturday we look in on a fantastic Turf battle at that unique track, Kentucky Downs.

Kentucky Downs Race 10 {Kentucky Turf Club Stakes~G2~1 1/2 mile~TURF~3 year-old Up~Graded Stakes}

A swell field of ten will hit the course in this annual contest.

This talented field will do battle at long distance over the adulating course. There is enough speed to produce a swift pace. Speed figs are fairly close. Six of the entrants have experience over the Kentucky Downs course. Two millionaires are in the field. Three will be trying this distance for the first time. It should be one of the many exciting races run at Kentucky Downs.

#11 Chief Little Rock [IRE] is a European invader that will engage the domestic horses. Last seen at Ascot {GB} where he was an also ran at this distance. Powerful international connections give him a slight edge. This colt should race close to the pace ready to strike. A son of Galileo [IRE], he is 85% in the money from seven starts.

#2 Integration (Carmouche / McGaughey) is the deserved favorite with the highest last out speed number and two strong workouts. This lad will stretch out to the distance. He comes in from Colonial Downs with a second in a grade one race. Look for him to track the pace closely. A son of Quality Road, he is 75% in the money from eight starts.

#4 Get Smokin' (De La Cruz / M. Casse) will contend notching a win at this distance in his first try. He will show speed battling for the lead with another. Coming in from Monmouth, he has a win over the Kentucky Downs course. A millionaire son of Get Stormy, he is 55% in the money from twenty-nine starts.

Other Wagering Interests

 #8 Belladeer (Geroux / Papaprodromou) is the other speed in the race. He has recorded steadily improving speed figures in his last four starts. A powerful workout tab of three indicates he is prepped for the KY Downs challenging cours. A son of Distorted Humor, he is 33% in the money from twenty-four starts.

#7 Tawny Port (Prat / Clement) should be a fierce challenger with the second highest (tie) last out speed number and four hearty workouts. This guy has hit the board in two of his three tries at the distance. Another that will track the pace closely. A millionaire son of Pioneerof the Nile, he is 57% in the money from twenty-one starts.

#1 Highway Robber (Loveberry / Lynch) will stretch out with the third highest last out speed number and three robust workouts. He should track the pace and strike in the stretch. This gelding has hit the board in his last three races. A son of Hard Spun, he is 66% in the money from nine starts.
