Stakes Saturday in Pennsylvania

An exciting Stakes Saturday revolves around a superb running of the grade two Pennsylvania Derby.

Parx Race 11 {Pennsylvania Derby~G2~1 1/8 mile~3 year old~Stakes}
A highly talented group of eight three year-olds will make their way to the start of this terrific race.  Limited speed should make the race interesting with the favorites, Alpha and Golden Ticket, both trackers, coming out of the dead-heat Travers.  This race is one to watch and wager.

#8 Macho Macho (Nakatani / Asmussen) might have a slight edge for an upset with the second highest last out speed number, a two race progression, and the absolute best workout tab of the group sporting four excellent peaking workouts.  He won at this distance last out.
$2 WIN / $3 SHOW.

#4 Alpha (Dominguez / McLaughlin) is the horse to beat with the highest (tie) last out speed number at a longer route, a three race progression, and two explosive workouts.  This guy has run this distance well in two races holding the highest speed number.
$2 PLACE / $2 SHOW.

#2 Casual Trick (Elliott / Zito) could be the surprise with the third highest last out speed number and two efficient workouts.  He has two wins over the Parx track in two trys.
$2 SHOW.

Another Wagering Interest

#6 Golden Ticket (Cohen / McPeek) should be in the mix sharing the highest last out speed number, a three race progression, and two robust workouts.  He has not yet run the distance, but has proven himself at longer.

10 CENT Superfecta

#8 Macho Macho, #4 Alpha / #8, #4 / #2 Casual Trick, #6 Golden Ticket / #2, #6.
