Breeders' Cup Day Two

We love TURF.  On this Stakes Saturday we take a look at the Breeders' Cup Turf race.

Santa Anita Race 9 {Breeders' Cup Turf~G1~1 1/2 mile~TURF~3 year old Up~Stakes}
A international cast of twelve will line up on the grass for a fabulous Turf race.  This is a fantastic field filled with millionaires all seeking to add to their racing portfolio's.  There is plenty of speed with a smattering of pressers, so no horse will be able to walk on the front end a la The Arlington Million.  The beautiful thing about this race is that any of these Turfers could race to victory.

#5 Shareta [IRE] (Lemaire / De Royer) ships in from France to join this group.  He has a solid record racing in France with a 72% in the money record at this distance.  Add to that his 80% in the money record on the Turf surface and you have a star performer.  Expect him to track that pace and shoot through the stretch.
$2 SHOW.

#12 Trailblazer [JPN] (Take / Ikee) will challenge with the highest (tie) last out speed number, a two race progression, and three industrious workouts.  He is another that should track the pace and make a move in the turn home.  His last out was a win over the Santa Anita surface.
$2 SHOW.

#4 Treasure Beach [GB] (Spencer / A. O'Brien) will also challenge with the second highest last out speed number and a three race progression.  He should hand back just off the pace ready to spring forward at first urging.
$2 SHOW.

Other Wagering Interests

#3 St. Nicholas Abbey [IRE] (J. O'Brien / A. O'Brien) should be in the hunt with the third highest speed number over North American Turf and an enviable 100% in the money record at the distance.  Watch him track and close diligently through the stretch.

#1 Point of Entry (J. Velazquez / McGaughey) could go off as the favorite with five wins in a row.  He shares the highest last out speed number, has a three race progression going, and has put in three strong peaking workouts.  He could press his way to victory as America's hope.

10 CENT Superfecta

#5 Shareta [IRE], #12 Trailblazer [JPN] / #5, #12 / #4 Treasure Beach [IRE], #3 St. Nicholas Abbey [GB], #1 Point of Entry / #4, #3, #1.
