Thursday Turf at Churchill Downs

We open up our horse racing weekend with a look at a good Turf allowance at magnificent Churchill Downs.

Churchill Downs Race 9 {1 3/8 mile~TURF~3 year old Up~Allowance}
A splendid field of ten will venture onto the green.  There are four "Also Eligibles" waiting in the wings should there be any scratches.  The weather should be pleasant so this race should stay on the Turf.  Moderate speed is evident that may keep the pace honest.  A wonderful Turf battle should unfold.

#7 Dream's Cut Short (Albarado / Sims) looks ready to make another step forward with the second highest (tie) last out speed number at a longer Turf route, a three race progression, and one stout workout.  This gelding should stay close to the pace and romp in the stretch.
$2 SHOW.

#4 Iron King (Servis / Hickey) will challenge sharing the second highest last out speed number, also at a longer Turf route.  He is holding a two race progression, and has put in a solid bullet workout.  This guy should be the speed of the race.
$2 SHOW.

Other Wagering Interests

#10 Signature Event (Hernandez / Oliver) should have the tactical speed to stay in the mix with the highest (3-way tie) last out speed number at a longer Turf route, a five race progression, and two fluid peaking workouts.  This guy also has a win over the Churchill course.

#3 Film Making (Goncalves / Baker) will be in the hunt with the highest speed number at the distance.  He has a couple of decent last out speed numbers and has put in two strong peaking workouts.  This fella could track the pace and strike in the stretch.

10 CENT Superfecta

#7 Dreams Cut Short / #4 Iron King / #10 Signature Event / #3 Film Making.

Last Superfecta Sunday (11/11) Results
Aquecuct R8.  Optional Claiming.  With the scratch of our Bronze Horseshoe runner, Bay Head Beauty, our 10 CENT Superfecta box effort was scuttled.  Nonetheless, the Superfecta went 11-9-3-8.
