Thank Goodness It's Friday Turf

We peer in on a good Friday Turf contest for three year olds in Southern Cal.

Santa Anita Park Race 7 {1 mile~TURF~3 year old~CA~Maiden Special Weight}
A great crop of fillies will hit the Turf in this maiden special.  It comes a little light on speed based on past performances.  In fairness many of these gals are still learning the game and have not yet settled on a running style.  All have put together excellent work tabs in preparation of a successful start to racing in 2014.  This should be a tremendous race.

#6 Euroclydon (Nakatani / Harty) might have an edge with the second highest last out speed number, a three race progression, and three superb peaking workouts.  She could be forwardly placed and strike in the stretch.
$2 SHOW.

#2 Magic Spot (Bejarano / Palma) should challenge with the fourth highest (tie) last out speed number, a two race progression, and two strong peaking workouts.  She should sit close to the leader and launch nicely into a stretch run.
$2 SHOW.

Other Wagering Interests

#5 Ay Ay Ay (T. Baze / Cassidy) looks to contend with the highest last out speed number in her only start and two hearty workouts.  She could be closing into whatever pace develops.

#9 Inherit the Throne (Martinez / Johnson) could surprise in her ninth start.  She holds the third highest last out speed number, a two race progression, and four robust peaking workouts.  This gal might improve again.

10 CENT Superfecta

#6 Euroclydon  /  #2 Magic Spot  /  #5 Ay Ay Ay  /  #9 Inherit the Throne.

Thursday's Results
Gulfstream Park R9.  Awesome Feather Stakes.  Our first pick, R Free Roll, finished 3rd for show money of $1.30.  Our second pick, My Pal Chrisy, finished 2nd for show money of $1.05.  Our third pick, Risky Rachel, was scratched.
