Horse Racing Weekend begins at Belmont

On this Thursday we turn to a great mile race at "Big Sandy".

Belmont Park Race 9 {1 mile~3 year old Up~NY~Allowance}
A superlative group of eleven will go to the gate in this feature allowance race. There is plenty of speed to keep the pace randy.  Most in here have done well over the distance, but a few have yet to run it.  The race should be a terrific one to watch and wager.

#4 Noble Cornerstone (J. Ortiz / Morley) might have an edge should the pace get wicked. He holds the second last out speed number, a two race progression, and two robust workouts.  This lad holds the highest speed number at the distance.  A quick close should get the job done.
$1 WIN  /  $2 SHOW.

#7 Beyond Empire (I. Ortiz / McLaughlin) should challenge with the third highest last out speed number at a longer route, a three race progression, and two superb peaking workouts.  Expect this guy to be forwardly placed ready to dispatch all challengers.
$1 SHOW.

#10 Salisbury Knight (Alvarado / Jerkens) should contend with the fourth highest last out speed number at a longer route and two strong workouts.  He has already notched a win at this distance securing the second highest (tie) speed number at the distance. He should be tracking the pace closely.
$1 SHOW.

Another Wagering Interest

#9 Wake Up in Malibu (J. Velazquez / Weaver) could be in the thick of it with the highest last out speed number, a two race progression, and two hearty workouts. This lad should battle on the front end.
