Superfecta Sunday in New Orleans

We take a look at a nice Turf contest at the historic Fair Grounds Race Course.

Fair Grounds Race 8 {1 mile~TURF~3 year-old Up~LA~Allowance Optional Claiming}

A nice group of ten turfers will go to the New Orleans green. There is sufficient speed to produce an honest pace. Speed numbers are relatively close to insure a competitive race. Our task is to string together a winning 10 CENT Superfecta box ticket.

#10 Don't Be Mad (C. Hernandez / M. Scherer) might have a slight edge with the fourth highest last out speed number and one peaking workout. This lad is 62% in the money from twenty-nine starts. The veteran should take up a nice tracking position striking in the stretch. He is our Bronze Horseshoe selection.
$1 SHOW.

#7 Just too Smart (Ramgeet / Richards) should challenge with the third highest last out speed number and two robust workouts. The lad has the tactical speed to stay the course no matter the pace. Seeking to carry over good form after a brief layoff, he should take another step forward.

#3 Charlie's Affair (Clark / Ramsay) will be making his first Turf effort after a modest layoff. This lad holds the highest last out speed number over a dirt surface. Prior to the layoff he was working a three race progression. He should be forwardly placed.

#8 Heavy On Themister (Mena / Faucheux) could go off as the favorite with the second highest last out speed number and two hearty peaking workouts. This veteran should take up a smooth tracking trip ready to score.

10 CENT Superfecta Box ($2.40)

#10 Don't Be Mad  +  #7 Just too Smart  +  #3 Charlie's Affair  +  #8 Heavy On Themister.
