Furlong Friday at the Fair Grounds

We start our horse racing weekend with a nifty sprint down in New Orleans.

Fair Grounds Race 3 {6 furlongs~2 year-old~Special Accr Maiden Claiming}

An interesting crew of eight will go to the gate in this race for maiden youngsters. A bit of speed along with a couple of first time starters may create a sound pace. All are just beginning their racing careers and a big jump in improvement could occur. It should be a fascinating race.

#5 Sherm's Gold (Geroux / S. Flint) has the most experience with three starts. He should be able to take advantage of it with the second highest last out speed number, a two race progression, and one solid workout. This guy should be close to the pace.
