A Florida Superfecta Sunday

Superfecta Sunday already. Today we take in a extremely competitive Turf event for the maidens down in South Florida.

Gulfstream Park Race 7 {1 1/16 mile~TURF~3 year-old~Maiden Claiming}

A great group of ten will gallop on the grass in this Maiden Claiming event. It comes up a little light on speed, though there are that might have an affinity towards being forwardly placed. There are three that will make their first start adding to the speed intrigue. Speed numbers are fairly closed for this group of runners embarking on their racing career. Our task is to shoe a winning 10 CENT Superfecta Box ticket.

#9 Deficit Reduction (Castellano / C. Brown) will be making his third career start holding the highest last out speed number, a two race progression, and two sound workouts. This lad will enter the gate with top flight connections and should be able to get the job done. He should be tracking the pace closely.

#5 Bibbo (Rosario / Mott) is dropping in from a more competitive maiden race with the second highest last out speed number, a two race progression, and three robust workouts. This guy might be forwardly placed seeking to get first jump on the field. He is our Bronze Horseshoe selection.
$1 SHOW.

#6 Martini Kid (Gaffalione / Matz) is a first time starter with high quality connections. He is a son of Lemon Drop Kid and has Nureyev, a terrific Turf sire, in his bottom pedigree. He has put in four superb workouts in preparation for his first start. Trainer, Michael Matz, readies his firsters well as evident by his 21% win rate with them.

#1 English Mahaveer (Trujillo / Campitelli) should contend with the fourth highest last out speed number and a good 66% in the money record at this distance. He is a son of the great Turf sire English Channel which adds to his quality. This guy has shown tactical speed in his five races.
