Superfecta Sunday on the Dirt

On this Superfecta Sunday we take in a fine dirt race up at the "Big A".

Aqueduct Race 8 {The Haynesfield Stakes~1 1/16 miles~4 year-old Up~NY~Stakes}

A reduced field of seven will now go to the gate after two early morning scratches. This is the inaugural running of this event for New York breds. There is enough speed to keep a fast pace. Speed numbers are fairly close insuring strong competition. Our task is to sew together a winning 10 CENT Superfecta box ticket.

#8 Royal Posse (Alvarado / R. Rodriguez) will be the favorite and deservedly so. He holds the highest last out speed number, an eight race progression, and two robust workouts. He has performed significantly better in his last three races than any of the other horses in this race. Watch for him to track the pace very closely and sprout into the stretch.

#9 Good Luck Gus (I. Ortiz / R. Rodriguez) should challenge with a couple of good last out speed numbers, a seven race progression, and four superb workouts. He loves the distance and the Aqueduct inner dirt course. This lad will be tracking the pace ready to strike.

#2 Fox Rules (Rodriguez / Ferraro) should contend with the second highest last out speed number, a two race progression, and three hearty workouts. This guy holds the highest speed number at the distance. He should be part of the front runners seeking to get first jump going into the stretch. This lad is our Bronze Horseshoe selection.
$1 SHOW.

#6 Eye Luv Lulu (J. Ortiz / Jacobson) should be in the mix with the third highest last out speed number, a two race progression, and three peaking workouts. He should be close to the pace and move swiftly into the stretch. He shares the highest speed number over the inner dirt course.
