Santa Anita Park is back in Action

As horse racing begins to make its triumphant return during this worldwide pandemic, it should lead the way for all sports to get back to the new normal. We are thankful that Santa Anita is back in action as we look in on a good stakes race at that beautiful facility.

Santa Anita Park Race 6 {Echo Eddie Stakes~6 Furlongs~3 year-old~CA~Stakes}

A great field of eight will step into the gate in this annual contest. One filly makes an appearance and one Triple Crown Nominee will enter into the battle. All are coming off layoffs as the Santa Anita season re-starts. There is a plethora of speed which should create a hot pace. Speed numbers are fairly close. It should be an excellent race to watch and wager.

#9 Phantom Boss (Van Dyke / Periban) might be the one to beat, despite the extended layoff. He holds the second highest speed number over the Santa Anita track and has put in two fierce stamina elevating workouts. He is the aforementioned Triple Crown Nominee in the race. A son of Shackleford, he should be forwardly placed right off the leaders driving for the score.
$2 WIN  /  $3 PLACE  /  $5 SHOW.

#5 Club Aspen (Valez / Lewis) should challenge as he takes up a closely tracking position. He holds the second highest last out speed number at a route distance and four exceptional workouts. This guy has gone this distance more than any other opponent, hitting the board 66% of the time. A son of Clubhouse Ride, he has two career wins to his credit from nine career starts.
$2 PLACE  /  $3 SHOW.

#8 Big Sweep (Prat / Glatt) is the lone filly in the race. She holds the highest last out speed number in her maiden race. This gal has put in four strong peaking workouts in preparation. Her win came over the Santa Anita track. A daughter of Mr. Big, she should be part of the speed contingent on the front end.
$2 SHOW.

#7 Bettor Trip Nick (Rispoli / Della) should challenge with the second highest speed number at the distance and four favorable workouts. He is another that will be part of the speed faction up front. This lad is 100% in the money from six career starts. A son of Boat Trip, he holds the most wins, at four, among this field.
