Superfecta Sunday in Maryland

When we think of Maryland and for that matter Virginia we think of horses running on the farms. On this Superfecta Sunday we take in a nice mile race in the great state of Maryland.

Laurel Park Race 9 {1 mile~3 year-old~Allowance}

A gallant field of eleven will go to the gate in this featured allowance race. There is some forwardly placed types that could push the pace. Speed numbers are very close up and down the roster. It is a challenging handicapping task for this race. Our task is to string together a winning 10 CENT Superfecta Box ticket. It should be a fantastic race.

#5 Mine not Mine (S. Russell / B. Russell) might have the edge with the highest (tie) last out speed number at a longer route and two solid workouts. He is 100% in the money at this distance. A son of Golden Lad, he is 75% in the money from four career starts. Look for him to close swiftly. He is our Bronze Horseshoe selection.
$3.00 SHOW.

#4 Toy (Carasco / Trombetta) should challenge with the second highest last out speed number at a longer route and three glorious workouts that include two bullets. This gelding should be tracking the pace seeking to secure good position coming into the stretch. A son of Tapizar, he is 66% in the money from six career starts.

#6 Commerce (W. Hamilton / Delacour) should contend with some good last out speed numbers and three hearty workouts. This colt will be switching from Turf to dirt. A son of Jump Start, he is 66% in the money from three career starts. He comes in from Tampa Bay downs with a tracking style.

#9 Skyscanner (Toledo / O'Dwyer) should also be in contention with the proper pace as he will be tracking and closing in on the lead pack. This lad has hit the board twice in his two career starts producing some decent speed numbers. A son of Bernardini, this colt loves the distance and the Laurel Park track.
