Friday Churchill Turf

On the eve of another great Stakes Saturday, we again take a look at a superbly competitive Turf contest at lovely Churchill Downs.

Churchill Downs Race 10 {1 1/8 mile~TURF~3 year old Up~fillies/mares~Allowance}

A field of ten equally talented female horses will make their start in this Turf feature.  A smidgeon of speed, a pinch of pressers and a throng of tracker/closers make up this field.  No clear favorite emerges as this entire field is capable of winning this Turf route.

#3 Volcat (Arguello / McPeek) appears to have a slight edge with the highest last out speed number, a two race progression, and two sound workouts.  This gal should be tracking the pace ready to pounce.
$2 SHOW.

#7 Forest Legend (J. Court / Oliver) should challenge with the second highest last out speed number, a three race progression, and one solid workout.  She should also be among the tracker/closers ready to glide through the stretch.
$2 SHOW.

Other Wagering Interests

#2 Rave Reviews (Lebron / Clarkson) looks ready to make a good run with the fourth highest (3-way tie) last out speed number.  She has competed well over this distance and holds the second highest (tie) speed number at it.  She could control the pace with her tactical speed.

#10 Insincerely Yours (Goncalves / Cohn) could be in the hunt with the second highest (tie) last out speed number and a three race progression.  She has covered this distance at Keeneland getting caught in traffic.  This gal could advance forward in this race.
