Carryover Thursday

On this 12th of July there are some rather large pick six carryover's at both Belmont Park and Betfair Hollywood Park, hence the name "Carryover Thursday".  Good luck to those that take a stab at one or both.

Today we look at a exceptional dirt sprint at expansive Belmont Park.  Let's begin our horse racing weekend.

Belmont Park Race 8 {6 furlongs~3 year old Up~Starter Optional Claiming}
An equally capable field of eight will venture to the gate for the start of this dirt sprint.  There is sufficient speed in this one to keep the pace honest.  It will be a difficult task to choose the winner, but choose we must.

#2 War Colony (C. Velasquez / Englehart) has a slight edge with the highest last out speed number, a five race progression, and one quality workout.  He is coming off a nice freshening and should be forwardly placed ready to speed away in the stretch.
$1 WIN / $1 SHOW.

#4 Haya's Boy (Ortiz / Englehart) will challenge with the second highest (tie) last out speed number and two athletic workouts.  He is another that should be forwardly placed in the midst of the action.
$1 PLACE / $1 SHOW.

#3 Devoted Wildcat (Desormeaux / Hess) looks ready to take another stride forward with the third highest last out speed number off a mile route and two hearty workouts.  He should track the pace ready to spring in the stretch.
$1 SHOW.

Another Wagering Interest

#1 Christopher's Joy (Castellano / A. Dutrow) should be a contender, sharing the second highest last out speed number, holding a two race progression, and putting in two bullet workouts.  This lad should press the pace seeking to make hay into the stretch.

10 CENT Superfecta

#2 War Colony / #4 Haya's Boy / #3 Devoted Wildcat / #1 Christopher's Joy.

Last Superfecta Sunday Results
