Superfecta Sunday at Ellis Park

On this Superfecta Sunday, we take a look at a swell allowance race at that fabulous little Kentucky track, Ellis Park.

Ellis Park Race 8 {1 mile~3 year old Up~fillies/mares~Allowance}
A large field of twelve gals will go to the gate in this mile battle.  There is enough speedsters and pressing types to keep a strong pace going.  It could set up nicely for those horses who relish coming from off the pace.  With a nimble field it will certainly be a challenge to fashion a winning 10 CENT Superfecta box ticket.  Let's give it a whirl.

#7 Malibu Holiday (Lanerie / McPeek) appears ready to run a top effort with the second highest last out speed number, a five race progression, and one solid workout.  She should take advantage of a swift pace and close well.

#2 Smartest Secretary (Bridgmohan / Ackerman) looks well prepped to return to dirt after running a longer route over the grass at Indiana Downs.  She holds the highest speed number at the distance and has put in one stout workout.  Watch her track the pace and gun it in the stretch.  She will be our bronze horseshoe runner.
$2 SHOW.

#6 Clear the Clover (Borel / McGee) will challenge with the fourth highest last out speed number coming off a longer turf route and producing one sinewy workout.  She should stay close to the leaders and begin her rush heading in the turn.

#3 Indian Icicle (Vazquez / Ritter) could surprise with the third highest last out speed number, a two race progression, and two sure workouts.  She could be forwardly placed ready to get first jump on the leaders.

10 CENT Superfecta Box ($2.40)

#7 Malibu Holiday  +  #2 Smartest Secretary  +  #6 Clear the Clover  +  #3 Indian Icicle.
