Spring is in the Air as Keeneland Opens

Springtime blossoms into the opening of the Keeneland meet.  On this Friday we take a peek at a graded Turf stakes race.

Keeneland Race 9 {Transylvania~G3~1 1/16 mile~TURF~3 year old}
A tremendous field of twelve will make the start in this annual graded stakes race.  April rain may bring this one off the Turf.  We shall see. The field includes six Triple Crown nominees.  Only four will be stretching out to this distance.  There is enough speed to keep the pace honest.  This will be a highly competitive race.

#9 Global View (Lezcano / Proctor) may have a slight edge with a couple of very good last out speed numbers, a four race progression, and four stellar, peaking workouts.  He will be stretching out for more improvement taking up a close tracking position.
$1 WIN / $1 SHOW.

#8 Pleuven [FR] (A. Garcia / C. Brown) should challenge with the second highest last out speed number at a longer route, a two race progression, and three hearty workouts.  This lad will be closing swiftly into a heated pace.
$1 SHOW.

#12 Can'thelpbelieving [IRE] (Rosario / Motion) should contend with the fourth highest (tie) last out speed number at a longer route, a four race progression, and two robust workouts.  This guy will be closing swiftly into the stretch.
$1 SHOW.

Another Wagering Interest

#1 Medal Count (Albarado / Romans) could surprise sharing the fourth highest last out speed number, a three race progression, and four superior, fast workouts.  This well prepped lad should be tracking the leaders ready to strike in the stretch.
