Starting Off at the "Big A"

On this Thursday we begin our horse racing weekend with a nice mile race at the "Big A".

Aqueduct Race 6 {1 mile~3 year old~Optional Claiming}
An up and coming group of eight three year-olds will hit the dirt in this feature race.  There is adequate speed and forwardly placed types to keep the pace quick.  Most in this one have equally comparable speed figures which should insure that we have a hearty competition.

#6 Oltre' Oro (J. Ortiz / L. Rice) is the only Triple Crown nominee among the bunch.  He holds the highest last out speed number at a longer route and two strong workouts.  This lad should be forwardly placed ready to strike in the stretch.
$1 SHOW.

#3 Pass the Coffee (Arroyo / Zito) should challenge with the second highest (tie) last out speed number, a three race progression, and two stout workouts.  He should track the pace ready to jump into the fray going into the stretch.
$1 SHOW.

Other Wagering Interests

#2 Kodiak Kody (W. Garcia / Ubillo) is coming out of a stakes race where he just missed the board.  He holds the fourth highest last out speed number, a three race progression, and one peaking workout.  This lad has a versatile running style where he should feel out the pace.

#7 Life in Shambles (Lezcano / Clement) should contend with the third highest last out speed number, a two race progression, and three quality workouts.  He should find himself reasonably close to the pace seeking a sound position to quicken with.
