Sprinting to the Horse Racing Weekend

Thursday begins our horse racing weekend.  Today we look at a fantastic graded stakes sprint to start off a great weekend of horse racing.

Oaklawn Park Race 9 {Count Fleet Sprint Handicap~G3~6 furlongs~3 year old Up~Stakes}
A highly rated field of six will make the start in this grade three.  There is plenty of speed and those that like to press the pace to make this a hot pace.  Four in here have it the triple digit speed number and the other two are very close to that milestone.  It should be an extremely exciting race.

#1 Secret Circle (M. Garcia / Baffert) should be able to stay close to the pace with the second highest last out speed number, a two race progression, and three superb peaking workouts.  This lad loves the Oaklawn oval and should be able to pull off the victory.
$2 WIN.

#4 Alsvid (Tohill / Hartman) could surprise coming a bit off the hot pace with the third highest last out speed number, a three race progression, and one peaking bullet workout.  He too enjoys the Oaklawn course.  This guy also holds the highest speed number at the distance.
$2 SHOW.

10 CENT Superfecta

Due to the small field, there is no Superfecta offered.

Last Superfecta Sunday (4/6) Results
Oaklawn Park R8.  Carousel Stakes.  One scratch eliminated the 10 CENT Superfecta.
Our Bronze Horseshoe runner, Ms. Anna Destiny, finished 2nd for $3.00 in show money.
Bankroll rises a buck to $11.24.
