Leggy Ladies Start Our Horse Racing Weekend

On to Hot Springs, Arkansas for the start of our horse racing weekend where we will take in a sprint for the fillies.

Oaklawn Park Race 8 {Dixie Belle Stakes~6 furlongs~3 year old~fillies~Stakes}
An fabulous group of nine fillies are prepared to go to the gate in this opening day stakes race. There is a ton of speed which should produce lightening fractions. All but one in here are coming into this race with brief freshenings. Half the field have near equal speed figures and the other half are embarking on improvement in their first race of the year. It should be a dandy of a race.

#6 Promise Me Silver (Berry / Calhoun) should be the favorite with the highest last out speed number, the highest speed number at the distance, and a three race progression. This gal will be seeking her fifth career victory in her fifth career start. She has the tactical speed to stay close and sweep into the lane.
$2 WIN.

#10 Empressive Humor (Santana / Asmussen) should challenge with the fourth highest last out speed number, a three race progression, and four impressive peaking workouts. She should be sitting just off the pace ready to strike. This gal could make another improvement forward.
$2 SHOW.

Other Wagering Interests

#2 Timeaday (Esquivel / Cox) should contend with a couple of decent last out speed numbers that produced victorious runs and two sound peaking workouts. She should be just off the pace ready to roll into the stretch.
