Horse Racing Weekend begins in Florida

We start off our horse racing weekend by taking in a sweet Maiden Turf mile race down in warm Florida.

Gulfstream Park Race 2 {1 mile~TURF~3 year-old~fillies~FL~Maiden Special Weight}

A good crop of ten gals will hit the green in this early on the card Maiden Special Weight race. Speed appears to be on the inside with the rest tracking whatever pace develops. A couple first time starters make the race all the more intriguing. Speed numbers for these developing gals are fairly close making for a superbly competitive event.

#10 Determined Lady (Panici / Fawkes) might have the edge with the highest last out speed number and a five race progression. She is 80% in the money from five starts including being in the money both times going this distance. She should be tracking the pace ready to strike going into the stretch.
$1 WIN  /  $2 SHOW.

Other Wagering Interests

#1 Lupo's Way (R. Hernandez / Morici) should challenge with the second highest last out speed number, a three race progression, and three strong peaking workouts. She loves this course evidenced by hitting the board in two runs over it. This gal is 100% in the money from her three career starts. She has the potential to wire this field.

#9 Warranty (Castellano / C. Brown) is a first time starter that has the potential to take this one with a powerful jockey / trainer combination. She has put in three robust workouts preparing for her maiden run. Trainer Chad Brown has a 21% win rate with his first timers.

#3 Leroids Mommie (P. Lopez / Cibelli) should contend with the fourth highest last out speed number at a longer route, a three race progression, and one fine workout. She is 66% in the money from three starts. This young lady is another that will be tracking the pace.
