Suferfecta Sunday Closing the Meet at Santa Anita

A beautiful day in Southern California as Santa Anita closes out its Fall meet. We take a look at a fine graded stakes race on the green.

Santa Anita Park Race 8 {Twilight Derby~G2~1 1/8 mile~TURF~3 year-old~Graded Stakes}

A wonderful group of nine will hit the grass in this annual event. There is enough speed to create a solid pace. Speed numbers are very close. All of these guys have good records over the sod which should make it anyone's race. Our task is to wire together a winning 10 CENT Superfecta Box ticket.

#1 Have At It (Rosario / Clement) comes in from the East Coast to bag up some more cash. He holds the second highest (3-way tie) last out speed number and two hearty workouts. This son of Kitten's Joy loves the Turf and has secured two wins at the distance in as many starts. Look for him to be tracking the pace closely. He is our Bronze Horseshoe selection.
$2 SHOW.

#8 River Boyne [IRE] (Prat / Mullins) should go off as the deserved favorite sharing that second highest last out speed figure and putting in four dynamite workouts. This lad is undefeated over the Santa Anita course in four starts. He loves the Turf and the distance. A son of Dandy Man [IRE], he should take up position near the leaders.

#4 Kazan [IRE] (M. Garcia / Callaghan) will challenge also with the second highest last out speed number and three fierce workouts. Another who loves the green and the distance, he should be closing swiftly into a strong pace. A son of Shanghai Bobby, this lad has hit the board in his last three starts.

#9 Platinum Warrior [IRE] (Van Dyke / Sadler) is coming down in distance in a grade one event. He holds the highest last out speed number and has put in four strong workouts in preparation for this race. Having run longer in his career, he will be dropping in distance as well. A son of World Class Turf sire, Galileo [IRE], he should close gallantly.
