Superfecta Sunday in Louisville

We venture down to Kentucky to take in a quality Turf race for the girls.

Churchill Downs Race 9 {1 mile~Turf~3 year-old Up~Fillies/Mares~Allowance Optional Claiming}

A wonderful field of ten will hit the green in this featured allowance race. There should be enough speed to carry the pace through honest fractions. Speed numbers are relatively close assuring a competitive event. Any of these fine ladies could gallop to victory. Our task is to cobble together a winning 10 Cent Superfecta ticket.

#3 Five Hearts (Gaffalione / Walsh) appears ready to come back after an extended layoff with four sharp workouts. She holds the highest speed number at the distance. A daughter of Langfuhr, should be tracking the pace ready to strike. She is our Bronze Horseshoe selection.
$3 SHOW.

#1 Take These Chains [IRE] (Geroux / B. Cox) comes back to the track after a lengthy extended layoff. She will be stretching out to this distance for the first time. She holds the highest speed number over the Turf. A daughter of Fastnet Rock [AUS], she will also be tracking the pace seeking her fourth win from five career starts.

#6 Valentine Wish (Morales / Oliver) looks in fine form with a series of three excellent speed numbers and one solid workout. She does hold the second best speed number at this distance. A daughter of Lemon Drop Kid, she could be forwardly placed.

#7 Cheeky Cherub (Leparoux / Kenneally) looks to take another step forward with the fourth highest last out speed number and two hearty workouts. This gal has been victorious at both of her starts at this distance. A daughter of Pioneer of the Nile, she could also be forwardly placed.
