Superfecta Sunday in New Jersey

Off we go for another fine Turf race in Jersey for our Superfecta Sunday.

Monmouth Park Race 9 {Jersey Girl handicap~1 mile~TURF~3 year-old Up~Fillie/Mares~NJ~Stakes}

A field of seven Jersey girls will strut onto the grass in this annual affair. There is a small amount of speed in this short field which will make the trackers and closers stay nearer to the pace. Speed numbers are fairly close. Our task is to sew together a winning 10 CENT Superfecta box ticket.

#6 Diamond Play (P. Lopez / Margotta) looks like she might spring into victory with the highest last out speed number at a longer route and two steady workouts. She does love the Monmouth course and has done well at this distance. A daughter of E Dubai, she will need some pace on the front to demonstrate her kick. She is our Bronze Horseshoe selection.
$1 SHOW.

#1 Heading Home (Bravo / K. Breen) could be the one to beat with the third highest last otu speed number at a longer route and three strong workouts. She excels at this distance having a 100% in the money record at it and loves the Monmouth Turf. A daughter of After Market, she should track the pace closely.

#3 Ebony Ball (Juarez / Stephens) looks to be the pace setter coming out of dirt sprints. She shares the second highest last out speed number and has put in three dynamite workouts including two bullets. A daughter of Park Avenue Ball, this gal has a 58% in the money record from seventeen career starts.

#7 Crazy Daisy (haddock / Penaloza) should be in the mix also with that second highest last out speed number and one sound long workout. She is the second most races Jersey girl in this race holding a 67% in the money record from thirty-seven career starts. A daughter of Sky Mesa, she does get along well on the Turf.

10 CENT Superfecta Box ($2.40)

#6 Diamond Play  +  #1 Heading Home  +  #3 Ebony Ball  +  #7 Crazy Daisy.

Stakes Saturday Results
Belmont Park R9.  BELMONT DERBY Invitational--G1.  Our first pick, Cape of Good Hope [IRE], finished 8th.  Our second pick, Rockemperor [IRE], finished 3rd for show money of $8.70.  Our third pick, Demarchelier [GB], finished 14th (last).
We did not have the winner. Consequently our $1 Saturday Exacta wheel was washed away.
Having only one of the four required in our 10 CENT Superfecta Box was a fail. Superfecta went 6-8-14-13.
Bankroll takes a hit and drops to $11.60.
