Superfecta Sunday at Santa Anita

 Santa Anita opens today, and we take in a grade one going long on the Turf.

Santa Anita Park Race 11 {American Oaks~G1~1 1/4 mile~TURF~3 year-old~Fillies~Graded Stakes}

A talented field of eleven will hit the green in this annual affair.

Every entrant will attempt this distance for the first time, though two will drop in distance. There is enough speed to push the pace forward. Speed numbers are fairly close. Synthetic Championships on Superfecta Sunday

 We go to the Tapeta in Kentucky on this Superfecta Sunday.

A reduced field of eight will go to the Tapeta in this Synthetic Championships event.

A Little Florida Turf on Stakes Saturday

 We take on the last race on the Gulfstream card. A great graded stakes race going long on the Turf.

A talented field of ten will hit the grass in this annual event.

Superfecta Sunday in South Florida

 We take a look at a nice Maiden Claiming race mid-way on the Gulfstream card on this Superfecta Sunday.

A nice modest field of ten will take to the Tapeta in this mid-card Maiden Claimer.

There is plenty of forwardly placed types to keep the pace rolling. Speed numbers are fairly close as all entrants have competed over the Tapeta surface.  There is a dearth of Stakes races on this Saturday, so we turn to a nice Turf Allowance in Maryland.

 We look at a race long on the Turf under the Twin Spires for Stakes Saturday.

On to the Turf for Stakes Saturday

 It is Breeder's Cup Championships at Del Mar today. We take a look at the last race on the card where the ladies will battle on the Turf.

A full group of thirteen ladies will hit the Del Mar Turf in this annual event.

Expect the Euro-invaders to dominate this race. There are six in the field. Speed Figs/Time Form ratings are fairly close. It comes up a little light on speed. You can expect a euro-quickening as they head into the stretch run. It should be a fantastic race to conclude this year's Breeders Cup Championships.

 A we look toward the Breeder's Cup Championships later this week, we take in the last race of today's Santa Anita card.

A good group of eleven will take flight on the Santa Anita hillside course to end the Fall meet.

This is a very fine race to cap off the card. It comes a little light on speed though there are a number of fowardly placed types to carry the pace. Speed figs are fairly close. Only four have covered the downhill course. Eight have competed at this distance. All but one have competed over a Turf surface. It should be a great race to handicap and wager.

Going Long on the Turf for Superfecta Sunday

 We go long on the Turf at Keeneland for our Superfecta Sunday play.

Keeneland Race 5 {1 1/2 mile~TURF~3 year-old Up~Allowance}

A nice full field of twelve will go to the gate in this mid-card feature.

There is sufficient speed in this race to create an honest pace, though you can expect an explosive quickening coming into the stretch. Speed numbers are fairly close with a number of entrants hitting the triple-digit mark within their last three. Only four have run over the Keeneland course. Five will stretch out to the distance. It should be one of the best races on the card.

#12 Crystal Quest (Prat / Trombetta) will be tracking and closing into a decent pace. He comes in with the second highest (tie) last out speed number and three strong peaking workouts. This lad loves the Turf, but will be stretching out to the distance. A son of Uncle Mo, he is 60% in the money from fifteen starts.

Maryland Millions Day

 A great Stakes Saturday unfolds with smashing races across the continent. We look to the Maryland dirt for a fantastic sprint race.

Laurel Park Race 12 {MD Million Sprint~6 furlongs~3 year-old Up~Stakes}

A nice field of nine will go to the dirt in this annual contest. Hopefully the field stays intact as we publish this before scratches are announced.

There is plenty of speedy and forwardly placed types to keep the pace rolling. Speed numbers are fairly close with only three having hit triple-digit speed figs. All have competed over the dirt, distance, and Laurel track. It will be a tremendous race to cap off the Laurel card.

#8 Haileysfirstnotion (M. Sanchez / Capuano) comes in with the highest last out speed number and two speedy peaking workouts. He should be the controlling speed and will seek to wire the field. Superfecta Sunday in Oklahoma

 On this Superfecta Sunday we look at the lucky last on the Remington Park card.

Remington Park Race 9 {7 1/2 Furlongs~TURF~3 year-old Up~Fillies/Mares~Maiden Claiming}

A nice field of ten will hit the green in this Maiden race.

There is enough speedy types in the race to produce an honest pace. Only three have traveled this distance. Four have run over the Remington course. Another four will be trying the Turf for the first time. Speed numbers are fairly close. It should be a highly competitive race.

#10 Oh My Vron (Wiseman / Williams) comes in from Del Mar for her second start. She drops in class with a decent last out speed number and three solid workouts. She should close into a fast pace. Stakes Saturday in Kentucky

 A great Stakes Saturday of racing across the country. We look in on a fantastic Turf race in Lexington, Kentucky.
