Belmont is the Place for a Race

Saturday is stakes day in the horse racing world.  Today we look at a beautiful Turf route at Belmont Park.

Belmont Park Race 9 {Bowling Green Handicap~G2~1 3/8 mile~inner Turf~3 year old Up~Stakes}

Ten handsome Turf specialists will go to the gate.  Grand Courtier [GB] has withdrawn in favor of a Canadian stakes race next weekend.  Winchester (C. Velasquez / Clement) will be the horse to beat with the highest last out speed number, a four race progression, and three fiery workouts.  He is primed and ready.  Dry Martini (Prado / Tagg) may be the surprise in this race with a great last out speed number at a longer route and three robust, peaking workouts.  Strike A Deal (Dominguez / Goldberg) looks tough with a decent last out speed number, a three race progression, and one strenuous workout.  Al Khali (Leparoux / Mott) will be in the hunt with the third highest last out speed number, a two race progression, and two hearty, peaking workouts.  Jeune-ture [BRZ] (Lezcano / Lobo) will be making his second North American start with the second highest last out speed number and four stamina producing workouts.  He has to be considered.  Let's play Belmont Park.
