Woodbine Race 10 {Woodbine Mile~G1~1 mile~Turf~3 year old Up~Stakes}
A great cast of thirteen runners assembles for what will be an extremely competitive race.  The sole Euro-invader, Famous Name [GB] (Smullen / Weld) looks favorable with a 100% in the money record over seven races at this mile distance.  He will be coming off a longer route race overseas for this one.  A nine time winner, he cannot be left out.  Famous Name [GB] will be challenged mightly in this top notch field.  Court Vision (Albarado / R. Dutrow) looks well prepped for this race with a decent last out speed number at a longer route and three high quality workouts.  He also shows the highest (three-way tie) speed number at the distance.  Victor's Cry (Nakatani / Harty) is another with the highest speed number at the distance.  He will be closing fast with the third highest last out speed number at a much longer route and four fierce, peaking workouts.  Grand Adventure (Husbands / Frostad) is the third with the highest speed number at the distance.  He also shows a decent last out speed number at a longer route, a fabulous set of three workouts, and the highest speed number at Woodbine.  Smokey Fire (Jones / Attard) will be the surprise moving from a seven furlong sprint to the mile.  He shows the second highest last out speed number, a two race progression, and two distance strengthening workouts.  He could be in there for a piece of the purse.  The Usual Q.T. (V. Espinoza / Cassidy) is a perfect five for five at the distance which will undoubtedly make him the favorite.  He has posted a decent last out speed number at a longer route and two serious workouts.  The Woodbine Mile will be a very competitive and exciting race.  Let's play Woodbine very carefully.
