Thursday TURFday at Saratoga

We begin the exciting horse racing weekend with a splendid Turf stakes race a lovely
Saratoga.

Saratoga Race 9 {West Point~1 1/16~inner Turf~3 year old Up~NY bred~Stakes}
A great group of ten runners will make the start, each with a chance to win.  There is a whole lotta speeed in this one.  It could set up nicely for the trackers and closers.

#6 Writingonthwall (Castro / Stokiosa) looks very promising if he can control the pace and the race doesn't get away from him.  He holds the second highest last out speed number, a three race progression, and one fine workout.  He could step forward with a wire job.
$1 WIN / $2 SHOW.

#1 Compliance Officer (Solis / B. Brown) will be one of many challengers with the third highest last out speed number, a three race progression, and three robust workouts.  This guy will press the pace and strike in the lane.
$1 PLACE / SHOW.

#4 Banrock (J. Velazquez / T. Bush) will be in there with a strong effort having the highest speed number at the distance over the Saratoga course and posting three superb workouts.  He could surprise.
$2 SHOW.

Other Wagering Interests

#8 Pocket Cowboys (Castellano / Schwartz) will be in the hunt with a couple of decent last out speed numbers and one swift workout.  He will be one of the forwardly placed waiting patiently to make his move.

#9 Straight Story (Dominguez / Goldberg) will also be motoring near the front pace setters looking to break through when the time is right.  He holds the second highest speed number at this distance and has put in one athletic workout.  He should be in the mix.
