Del Mar Youngsters

A wonderful Friday for a look at a stakes race at Del Mar featuring the youngsters.

Del Mar Race 7 {Sorrento~G3~6 1/2 furlongs~2 year old~fillies~Stakes}
A great crop of eight fillies will make their start in this featured stakes race.  All are improving nicely and any of them are capable of winning this event.  A dash of speed, a cup full of pressers, a pinch of trackers, and two drops of closers will bake this one into an exciting race.

#3 Willa B. Awesome (Gomez / W. Solis) has a very slight edge going into this one with the fourth highest (tie) last out speed number, a three race progression, and two fast workouts.  She has covered the Del Mar course nicely.  She will get first jump on the speed.
$2 SHOW.

#1 Killer Graces (Talamo / Hollendorfer) will be the challenging favorite with the second highest last out speed number, a three race progression, and two robust, peaking workouts.  She has the capability to close down this field.
$2 SHOW.
