Another Del Mar Sunday

To close out our horse racing weekend we look to a sharp 2 year old stakes race at Del Mar.

Del Mar Race 8 {Best Pal~G2~6 1/2 furlongs~2 year old~Stakes}
Seven bright eyed and bushy tailed colts will make the start in this annual competitiion.  None have made the journey at this distance.  All are 100% in the money over a synthetic surface.  Could any of these young lads rep the best of the West in KD 138, next May?  We will have to see.

We are down to a fist full of dimes.  Consequently, we will make one selection and name some other contenders to round out our 10 CENT Superfecta.  Happy racing.

#4 Night Tide (M. Garcia / Baffert)  looks ready to improve once more with the third highest last out speed number, a two race progression, and three fabulous workouts.  He will be right on the front end looking to pull away in the stretch.  The Night Tide could roll in for the win.
$2 SHOW.

Other Wagering Interests

#7 Brigand (Gomez / Baffert) could make it another exacta for Trainer Bob Baffert.  How many times have we seen this before in the Southern Cal circuit?  This guy has the second highest (tie) last out speed number, a two race progression, and three robust workouts.  He should be near the lead, ready to strike.

#5 Galex (Talamo / Hollendorfer) is an improving colt with a couple of decent last out speed numbers and four fierce workouts.  He could track the pace and begin a strong push in the stretch.  He appears to have some great promise.

#1 I'll Have Another (Rosario / O'Neill) should be the speed of the race making his second career start.  He shares the second highest last out speed number with a win and has posted two strong workouts.  If he can control the pace, he could wire the field.  Another to mark down as one to watch.

10 CENT Superfecta

#4 Night Tide / #7 Brigand / #5 Galex / #1 I'll Have Another.
