Gulfstream Sprint Thursday

Our horse racing weekend begins with a nice sprint on the dirt at lovely Gulfstream Park.

Gulfstream Park Race 9 {6 furlongs~3 year old~Fillies~FL~Allowance}
A very decent field of ten will gallop over to the start in this Florida bred race for three year old fillies.  Should be a good one with a nicely balanced field of all running styles.

#5 Xunlei (Maragh / Romans) looks well primed with the second highest last out speed number at a slightly longer sprint, a two race progression, and one stout workout.  She should be forwardly placed ready to strike.
$1 WIN / SHOW.

#10 Adela's Song (Leyva / Kaplan) will challenge with the third highest last out speed number, a four race progression, and one peaking workout.  She should also be forwardly placed looking for an opening to shoot through.
$1 PLACE / SHOW.

#2 Polish Tune (Castellano / Pletcher) should also be a contender with the second highest speed number at the distance.  She is coming off a little longer sprint and has put in one solid workout.  She could also press the pace and quicken in the stretch.
$2 SHOW.

Another Wagering Interest

#3 Blue Distinction (Lezcano / Gartegena) will be in the mix with the highest last out speed number and a three race progression.  She should track the leaders and pounce in the stretch.

10 CENT Superfecta

#5 Xunlei / #10 Adela's Song / #2 Polish Tune / #3 Blue Distinction.
